Item descriptions
The sale items on this site are described as I see them. As all collectors are aware, it is impossible to be an expert on all makes and models of fishing tackle, especially the older items. So I have simply tried to describe condition consistently and objectively throughout the site. If you suspect there is a mistake or important omission in a particular description, please let me know for the benefit of all of us.
Pricing
Prices for fishing tackle can be highly variable, they have changed considerably in both directions over the 40 or more years that I have been collecting. Apart from the standard factors such as maker, model, age and particular collectors interest, prices are also particularly dependent on condition. I am always willing to discuss the price of any item if you wish to contact me by email or phone. However, please consider that I have priced items at what I believe is a realistic value in the current market. It may not be the price you saw the “same” item at on ebay or in a garage sale or what your mate at the pub reckons its worth.
Postage and Packing
Postage will be at buyers’ expense unless agreed otherwise. No packing or handling fees are charged. Standard Australia Post rates will be charged and Express Post and/or insurance is optional at the buyers request and expense. All care will be taken with packaging with due regard to the nature of the item. Rods, for example will normally be packed in a PVC or similar tube. The difficulty of sending rods by mail due to their length means that a postage or courier quote should be obtained from me prior to their purchase.
Buying (selling) your gear
The items on this site come from a number of sources, I sell items on a negotiated commission for others and I also sell my own gear obtained through private acquisitions. I would be pleased to consider selling your items for you or looking at outright purchase. Please head to the contact section of the website, use the live chat, call me by phone or send me an email. There are plenty of options as I don't want to miss out!!!
I am also a collector, though much less so now than in the past. My interest has been Australian made spinning reels and fly reels but this interest has narrowed to Australian made Dawson (Victoria) fly reels and other Australian fly reels and matching split bamboo rods. I will consider buying these items from you at market value.

WHICH PAYMENT METHODS DO YOU ACCEPT?
Payment can be by direct bank deposit or credit card by phone. You could also pay on pickup if you can get to Alexandra Victoria.
